Indigenous Youth Rising Conference - March 9, 2021

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!  Click here to register.

MacEwan University’s kihêw waciston Indigenous Centre is proud to present the 28th annual oskaya êkiskwayihtamowin osihcikêwin Indigenous Youth Rising Conference, coming up on Tuesday, March 9, 2021!

Formerly known as the Dreamcatcher Indigenous Youth Conference, this conference has been one of the largest of its kind in Canada for almost 30 years. It provides an opportunity for Indigenous youth to gather together and explore educational and career opportunities, celebrate culture, and develop new friendships. The conference will feature a number of guest speakers and a variety of workshops! All programming is designed to encourage Indigenous youth to pursue a balance of education and culture, to highlight Indigenous role models, and to support youth in realizing and pursuing their goals.

The kihêw waciston team at MacEwan University in Edmonton, AB is excited to host this year’s event. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be switching to a virtual format. In light of this change, registration will be free for all Indigenous youth/students across Canada to attend! In addition to our all-day programming, we will also be holding a virtual round dance during the evening.
